With the launch of the School Saving Bonus (SSB), we’ve listed below a few recurring questions we are receiving from families and Schools. As the program continues and we receive new information, updated guidance from the DET or more common questions, we’ll publish additional updates.
Q. When can I access my School Saving Bonus (SSB)?
Parents or carers of students at Victorian Government schools should have received an email with all the SSB details. If you have questions about your SSB or haven’t received it, you can find the department’s contact information here.
Q. What can the SSB be used for?
The SSB can be used to cover the cost of textbooks, uniforms, camps, and excursions. If Beleza School Uniforms is listed as a supplier for your school in the SSB portal, you can use your SSB to purchase uniform items.
Q. How does the SSB work online?
You can log in to the SSB portal and download an online voucher in denominations such as $50, $100, $200, $300, or $400. These vouchers can be used on Beleza School Uniforms’ website to pay for your purchases. You can pay with SSB alone or a combination of SSB and other payment methods we offer online.
Q. Can I use multiple vouchers in one online transaction?
Yes, you can combine multiple vouchers in a single order. For example, you can include items for multiple children in your order and apply all your SSB vouchers at checkout. If the portal does not allow you to create a voucher for the exact amount you need (e.g., $400), you can create multiple vouchers of smaller denominations to reach the required amount.
Please be aware that vouchers are still tied to the student from a DET perspective, so any unused funds will go only to that students school account and we can’t reallocate or split them after a purchase is made.
Q. My voucher says it has been redeemed even though my transaction failed, what do I do?
Unfortunately, our website does redeem vouchers even if the transaction fails and we are unable to change this. If you do find your order has failed, please contact beleza@beleza.com.au with your voucher number, and our team can recharge the voucher.
Q. What happens if I have a leftover balance on my SSB voucher?
If there is any remaining balance on your Beleza voucher after an online purchase, the leftover funds can still be used at Beleza online or in-store (depending on where you allocated the funds) until the end of June 2025. After that, unused funds will revert to the department for use for approved School activities.
Q. How does the SSB work in-store?
Bring your SSB code to a Beleza School Uniforms store, and our staff will assist you in using your SSB funds for your purchase. You can pay using SSB, cash, debit/credit card, or a combination of these methods.
Please note that in-store purchases may take a little longer due to the SSB process as additional steps are required vs our other payment methods.
Q. Can I use multiple vouchers for one student’s order?
Yes, families can use multiple SSB vouchers on a single student’s order. Additionally, if you have multiple children at the same school, you can combine their SSB funds to make purchases for one child.
Please be aware that vouchers are still tied to the student from a DET perspective, so any unused funds will go only to that students school account and we can’t reallocate or split them after a purchase is made.
Q. How can I check my SSB balance?
You can check your balance by logging into the SSB portal.
Q. Can I get a refund on an order paid for with SSB?
As funds cannot be returned to the SSB system, we are unable to offer refunds for any products bought using SSB funding. We are able to exchange items to equal or greater value in-store, and these exchanges are still required to fall under Beleza School Uniforms exchange terms and conditions.
Where exchanges are of a greater value, additional payment for the difference is required.

Q. Do you have any purchase limits when using the SSB vouchers?
In store: The purchase limit is 5 units for each item and size per voucher.
Below, we have outlined some illustrative examples to help clarify accepted transactions with this policy:
Example 1:
A family with twins in size 8 purchase up to 10 polos, 10 pants, and 10 jumpers all size 8 (5 per item and size, per child, on the same voucher).
Accepted as each student has their own voucher and the 5 limit is applied individually.
Example 2:
A family planning for the future purchase 5 polos in size 6 and another 5 in size 8 using the same voucher.
Accepted as they are not exceeding 5 per item and size
Example 3:
A family has 2 students going to the same school, but wants to use more money from the voucher towards 1 student and wants 8 polos in size 6.
Accepted but quantity will be split and processed as 2 separate transactions with 2 unique voucher codes
Online: Due to technical limitations online, the cart will only let you add 5 units per item, regardless if it’s different sizes. If you do need multiple sizes in higher quantities than 5, you can simply place a second order using the same voucher code (any remaining balance will be kept and can be redeemed until it reaches zero). Your orders will not be cancelled unless purchasing above 5 units of the same size.
Example:
A family wants to purchase 3 polos in size 6 and 3 polos in size 12 online. The family tries to add these to the cart, but are told they can only order up to 5 of the same item.
Solution: The family then checkout their current cart, then go back to order the additional polo in a separate transaction but using the same SSB code to redeemed the remaining balance.
